Finally...
my hard drive crashed! but alas i have most my stuff backed up. all i have to say is thank god i have the apple protection plan. i have a new hard drive within 24 hrs and it didn't cost a cent. of course, i had to pay with the lost of some info, but really...i can't complain. i was up and back where i was 24 hours ago in a couple of hours

Holy crap--why do you think your hard drive crashed? Was there something that caused it? This makes me want to back up everything I have on CD. Right now.
hard drives crash because they do...no reason. it's just old. but yes definitely backup your stuff. i would recommend an external harddrive or something. these days CDs aren't enough...you'd need a lot of CDs.
